Do you want advertising here and now? In this case, PPC is right for you. You place contextual advertising and pay for each click on your website. You get traffic as long as you are willing to pay money. As soon as you stop investing, the number of customers immediately drops.

Is your main goal to build your brand’s reputation and name? In this case SEO-promotion is your solution. In order for a site to take a leading position in the search engine, it must be of high quality, provide interesting and useful information and inspire trust in people. Based on this, the probability of seeing a bad website in organic search results is quite low.

In the 21st century, almost all people use search engines. They look for information, they buy. Remember the last time you turned to Google to buy something? You entered your query into the search field, and several links to online stores appeared before your eyes. How often do you click on the link with the word “advertising” next to it? To be honest, I have been using a search engine every day for many years, but I have clicked on such links only twice (only in those situations when I was sure that the site I was going to be of high quality). When I didn’t know what marketing was and that it was one of the methods of contextual advertising, I subconsciously always skipped links with the word “advertising” and went to the first sites without these words. Apparently, having clicked on such links several times and ended up on low-quality sites, a program worked in my head that automatically perceived such sites as bad. But when I saw sites after a block of contextual advertising, and even with a high-quality snippet (the text you see under the link to the site), my hand reached out to click on this link. And if you go to the site and see a beautiful picture with the right texture, and the text attracts attention… Such a site is a pleasure for any user.

So, it is up to you to decide what is more effective: SEO or PPC. And my opinion on this matter is given above.

The answer to this question depends on your goal. As we have already mentioned in this article, PPC is more suitable for those who are impatient. With this type of marketing, you can get orders the very next day. If you want to build a business that will bring you income for many years, then SEO is better for you. In the long run, SEO proves to be much more effective. It works like a snowball, with every week, month, and year, brand awareness will grow, and with it the amount of traffic. But, to be fair, a truly worthy brand requires a triskelion (a balance of three parts) of SEO, PPC, and a dash of SMM, because marketing consists of these three main points for a reason.

It’s impossible to say which is better than SEO or PPC, they are simply suitable for different purposes. And which of these methods of website promotion you should choose depends on your personal preference.
